"To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven"
Hey there! I'm Kayla, a seriously sentimental girl who loves dogs and the mountains. My friends always joke that I am way too sentimental and nostalgic. For real, my biggest fear is not enjoying a moment to it's fullest before it's gone (wow, that got personal). But I embrace that soft hearted part of my soul and believe it fuels me to do what I do best: capture your favorite moments. The verse above is one of my favorites and I believe it is so important to embrace every season of life.
On a less serious note, you can find me sipping on some hours old coffee (not sure why I can never finish a cup), obsessing over my pups, or wishing I was driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I'm an Enneagram Type 6 if that matters to ya and am a true believer in lists. My planner is my bff and when not working on my computer editing photos, I'm probably in another Adobe program working on some graphic design projects.
One of my favorite things to do in my free time is to drive to the parkway, pick a random pull over, and hop on a random hike. Not much planning goes into my hiking day trips (suprising I know). I love to get out and explore a new and pure little corner of the world. The mountains have always been important to me, they are where I find the most clarity and am most reminded of God's goodness and power.
How could I not mention my pups? That's my sweet boy Cooper, and if you look really closely there's a tiny little puppy by my feet named Roo. I don't know what I would do without these two, there is just something about a girl and her pups. You can find us on a nearby trail, playing ball, or cuddling watching Gilmore Girls late at night.
I've always had this drive to explore. Whether it be a new hike, a new city, or a new country, there is something so refreshing about exploring somewhere new. I love walking around cities (especially historical ones!) and imagining the different people that have walked those same streets. I love historical homes for the same reason, they all tell a story of the eras and families that they have been a part of.
